TESTIMONIAL:

"I started private yoga classes with Nancy because I was looking for a way to increase balance, range of motion and flexibility.  I have cerebral palsy and Nancy has been able to work with me at my pace and ability, building from there and modifying as necessary.  I am happy to say I have enjoyed slow and steady improvement while not feeling judged or overwhelmed.  I feel supported, encouraged and hopeful while working with Nancy.  My bending and stretching have definitely improved and I notice that I feel more peace and also energy!  Nancy is a very positive person and yoga feels like a fountain of youth!  I highly recommend yoga with Nancy."

I came to yoga in my late 40's, and at the time I had my own garden design and installation business.  I found yoga so beneficial in keeping me limber for those long days working outside.  But I also found a grounding within myself at a time of my life that included lots of changes, both physically and mentally.  I became more aware of what was happening within my body, mind and spirit.  I felt a deeper connection to myself and those around me.

I feel the practice of yoga can be the best gift we give ourselves.

I knew I wanted to share this amazing sense of well-being with others.  It was a logical next step to pursue becoming a teacher.  I received my yoga teacher training from a truly competent and knowledgeable teacher ~ Paula Tursi from Reflections Yoga (www.reflectionsyoga.com) while in Costa Rica, in the method of yoga called 'slow flow' Vinyasa.  I have logged over 1,000 hours of time teaching yoga.

*Vinyasa means "breath-synchronized movement," and Vinyasa yoga is a series of poses that will move you through the power of inhaling and exhaling. My classes focus on the balance of breath, movement and awareness.

In a world driven by deadlines, traffic jams, smartphones and long work days, it becomes more and more difficult to let go and allow for much needed personal time.

I work with men and women of all ages and have had great success working with busy executives, those with physical limitations and teenagers.   In addition to teaching yoga, I enjoy painting, hiking, gardening and travel.  You can see some of my paintings atwww.nancyaufiero.com
